Vatican City/Manila (Fides News Agency) – Mr. Manuel “Tatay Maning” Tagle Sr., father of Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization – Section for First Evangelization and New Particular Churches, has returned to the Father’s House.
“In this moment of separation,” states a communiqué issued by the missionary Dicastery, “we gather with affection and in prayer around Cardinal Tagle, his beloved mother, Mrs. Mila Tagle, wife of the deceased, his brother Manuel Tagle Jr., and all their family members. We entrust dear ‘Tatay Maning’ to the infinite mercy of the Father, grateful for the gift of his life, and we ask the Risen Lord to welcome him in peace and joy into His House and to grant consolation and strength to his loved ones.”
Just a few days ago, on August 26, Manuel “Tatay Maning” Tagle celebrated with joy, surrounded by his family and loved ones, his 70th wedding anniversary with Mrs. Mila. On that festive occasion, the Mass for his parents’ “Titanium Wedding Anniversary” was celebrated by Cardinal Tagle himself at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Pillar, in Imus.
