Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On December 30, 2023, the Holy Father accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the archdiocese of Ranchi, India, presented by Archbishop Felix Toppo, S.J.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Vincent Aind as metropolitan archbishop of Ranchi, India, transferring him from the diocese of Bagdogra.
Archbishop-elect Vincent Aind was born on 30 January 1955 in Kalchini, in the diocese of Jalpaiguri. He was ordained a priest on 30 April 1984 for the same diocese. He was appointed bishop of Bagdogra on 7 April 2015, receiving episcopal consecration the following 14 June. (EG) (Agenzia Fides, 30/12/2023)
