Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On April 26, 2023, Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, appointed the Rev. Mirope Milanco Duartes, of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Panama as
National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in Panama for a five-year period (2023-2028).
The new National Director was born in Las Palmas on July 13, 1963. He was ordained a priest on August 31, 1997. He has been parish priest in several parishes, member of the formation team of the Major Seminary of Panama, and a youth councilor in the missionary project since 2008. (SL) (Agenzia Fides, 11/5/2023)
