Appointment of Bishop of Kurnool

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On May 3, 2021, Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed Rev. Wilfred Moras, of the diocesan clergy of Lucknow.
The new Rector was born on February 13, 1969 and was ordained a priest on April 27, 1997. He has held the following positions: Professor at the minor Seminary (1997-1999); Bishop’s secretary (1999-2002); Vice-principal in a school (2002-2016); Principal in two schools (2007-2013); Professor at St. Joseph Seminary (2009-2013); Director of the Regional Pastoral Center since 2017.
