ASIA/INDIA - Appointment of the Rector of "St. Joseph" interdiocesan Seminary in Mangalore

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On 11 April 2019 Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed the rev. Ronald Antony Serrao, of the clergy of the diocese of Mangalore as Rector of "St. Joseph" interdiocesan Seminary in the diocese of Mangalore in India.
The new Rector was born on 30 September 1960 and was ordained a priest on 30 April 1987. Since his ordination he has been parish vicar (1987/89); teacher and formator at St. Joseph Seminary (1989/93); he studied liturgy in Rome and received his doctorate (1993/1999); Director of the catechetical, biblical and liturgical center of his diocese and at the same time visiting professor of liturgy in the seminary (1999/2006); member of the Regional Liturgical Commission for Konkani; Dean of theology and professor at St. Joseph Seminary (since 2006).
