Valle de Angeles (Agenzia Fides) - Representatives of groups involved in the missions, both members of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) and other pastoral care workers of Central American (Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras) took part in the "First Meeting of Ad Gentes Missionary Formation" in Central America.
The meeting, which began on 4 July and ended yesterday, took place at the El Tabor Campus of the Catholic University of Honduras "Nuestra Señora Reina de la Paz", in Valle de Angeles. The objective was to stimulate, encourage and strengthen the mission Ad gentes in the missionary animators of Central America.
The theme of the next Extraordinary Missionary Month was discussed, with special attention to the pontifical documents Maximun Illiud and Evangelii Gaudium, as well as the missionary vocational project Ad Gentes of Central America. During the meeting each delegation of the Central American countries brought ideas and experiences on the Ad Gentes mission in their respective provinces, with the aim of enriching the commitment of every baptized person, so that every missionary action leads to the encounter with Jesus Christ through witness.
