Sydney (Agenzia Fides) - Ignatian spirituality is spreading on the Newest of the continents thanks to Spirituality Centres, Spiritual Exercises, Days of Reflection and now also via the Internet. A new web site dedicated to the spiritual path of St Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus has just been opened. All kinds of news and information about Ignatian Spirituality Centres in Australia, in Sydney, Melbourne and southern Australia can be found at www.cis.jesuit.org.au
The purpose of the initiative is to diffuse knowledge of the life and writings of St Ignatius to help more people, the laity and young people especially, become familiar with his spirituality. The sharing and openness of a web site, the Australian Jesuits explain, is in the full spirit of St Ignatius who centuries ago taught and showed to the peoples of Europe that lay people operating in the ‘world’ can also live full and satisfying spiritual life.
