Lodi (Agenzia Fides) - "On Nice’s side" is the multimedia campaign in support of the rights of African girls supported by the Fighting World Hunger Movement that tells the stories of seven girls who in various parts of Africa have broken the chain of traditions in the name of freedom of choice: from the Maasai girls, to street girls, girls accused of being witches, to all the girls who suffer forms of violence and are deprived of a better future. "Nice Nailantei Leng'ete was born in Kenya; when she was 8 years old, with courage, she opposed to female genital mutilation", said the statement sent to Fides. Today, at the age of 24, Nice has become the symbol of the rebellion against female mutilation and other abuses that African girls are forced to suffer. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 26/10/2016)
