Barcelona (Fides Service) - Spain is preparing to host the next world congress of the International Federation of Associations of Catholic Doctors and the 1st Exhibition of Missionary Medical Assistance in Barcelona from 8 - 14 May 2006.
“Catholic Doctors, globalisation and poverty” is the highly significant theme. In fact in a globalised world where new technology can be employed to offer medical assistance to Christians and non in a humanistic horizon, Catholics face many challenges. Scholarships will be offered to students and doctors from poor countries.
The 1st Exhibition of Missionary Medical Assistance will illustrate the Catholic Church’s service for the sick.
