Lahore (Agenzia Fides) - Nazir Masih, 50, a Christian disabled and father of four children, was attacked by three Muslims who brutally killed him. As Fides learns, the complaint of the tragic incident, which occurred on April 5, was presented by one of the children, Iqbal Masih, but so far the murderers have not been arrested.
According to the reconstruction of the facts, Nazir Masih was a small real estate businessman and due to his business he had contacts with three Muslims, Mohammad Haider, Mohammad Nazar and Mohammad Achy Gujjar. On April 5, the three met in Nazir Masih’s house with his partner Meher Din. During the meeting, a heated discussion broke out for economic reasons: the Christian claimed from the three a credit of about 250 thousand rupees.
On the same day, in the late afternoon, Nazir was killed: according to the complaint, suspicions fall on the three Muslims. The man was slain, his face disfigured as well as other parts of the body. It is alleged that the three revealed to others: "We have put an end to an infidel". Relatives of the victim have turned to the NGO "Lead" (Legal Evangelical Association Development), which provides free legal assistance to Christian families who suffer injustice.
