Adaba (Agenzia Fides) - It is still Lent in Ethiopia. Preparations for Easter continue, as well as the activities of the small Catholic communities of Oromia. Among these, Fides received the story of a group of children of the children’s home in Adaba, which is part of the Apostolic Prefecture of Robe, who continue to pursue their missionary journey with hope and enthusiasm. Led by a fidei donum priest, with them for almost a year now, they have become true missionaries, and, with him, they have began to evangelise also the community of Herero, which is a few km from Adaba.
The missionary brings them with him, equipped with their catechism exercise books with the pictures they use to explain to peers what is written. "Yesterday, Sunday, April 3, we went to pick them up with four cars and we took them all to Kofale, from Adaba and Dodola, for the Holy Year of Mercy. Then we celebrated the Eucharist together and had lunch" adds the priest. "In total there are now about forty children and teens who find themselves in Herero and are becoming friends". The missionary children are thrilled! (AP) (Agenzia Fides 04/04/2016)
