Zamora (Agenzia Fides) - A group of volunteers and professionals are committed to removing children with economic and school problems from the streets. The Support Center for Minors (CAM) work with children from broken families, they offer them school support and recreational activities. We are talking about a program of Caritas Zamora dedicated to childhood; each center receives a maximum of 50 children between 6 and 16 years of age. Initially, a group of operators meet the young children for an initial interview to assess the situation and determine the needs. Some suffer from various syndromes or deficit that penalize their school learning. Most have an academic level below the average. The activities of CAM provide a first stage of socialization, then the children are helped with their homework, and if not they are engaged in an after-school program.
