AFRICA/NIGERIA - Ibadan Serra Club visits seminaries in the Archdiocese to supportand encourage vocations

Ibadan (Fides)- A delegation of Ibadan Serra Club in Nigeria recently paid its annual visit to St. Theresa’s Minor Seminary and to the Saints Peter and Paul Major Seminary in the archdiocese of Ibadan.
The delegation led by Serra Club chairman Mr Serran Felix Ogunbiyi was warmly welcomed by the rector Fr. Ben Etafo of the Major Seminary who gave a report on the progress, difficulties and future plans and thanked the Club for its support. Fr. Etafo underlined that management expenses were ever higher and funds ever lower, but that nevertheless the seminary has an excellent teaching staff and continues to offer its future priests quality formation.
The members of the Serra Club assured the college of their support to sustain and encourage vocations. The Serra movement is about to open clubs in several other dioceses in Nigeria to support vocations.
