Rome (Fides Service) - With his extraordinary charismatic dynamism John Paul was a “special friend” of Renewal in the Spirit, which he recognised as “special initiative of the Holy Spirit for our day”. He won a place in our hearts as an inspired interpreter, and a creative and spiritual animator of all the hope for renewal brought by Vatican II. “He is truly the image and likeness of Christ” I said to myself every time I had the grace of meeting him and “helping him”.
