Baghdad (Fides Service) - All Iraqi Christians are close to the Pope with prayers. The Chaldean Patriarch of Baghdad Emmanuel Delly gave this statement to Fides: “We are deeply saddened by the news with regard to the Pope’s health condition. We offer him the comfort of our prayers. Today our morning prayers and Mass were offered for the Pope and his intentions. We pray the Lord will strengthen him. We are all praying for the Pope. We Iraqi Catholics bishops, clergy, religious and laity despite our daily difficulties are close to the Pope with prayers”.
