Taiwan (Fides Service) - Cardinal Paul Shan, President of the Chinese Regional Bishops’ Conference has launched an appeal for seaquake victims calling on Catholics and all men and women of good will to show solidarity towards the people affected by the disaster. In a brief message the Cardinal said: “We ask the faithful to pray and we beg the merciful Lord to have compassion and to help the victims and the suffering people. May the Lord inspire people to make acts of love for these stricken people without distinction of race or nationality, and may all offer a hand and give concrete help in the work of rescue and assistance”.
