Saturday, 17 January 2015

Veracruz (Agenzia Fides) - The Bishop of the Diocese of Veracruz, His Exc. Mgr. Luis Felipe Gallardo Martin del Campo, S.D.B. said that the authorities have the "terror" of receiving accusations by the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) if they initiate interventions to stop the ongoing demonstrations.
"These groups choose a pretext to create anarchy, to undermine institutions, authorities and somehow take power", said Mgr. Gallardo.
"The public security forces have been created to defend citizens and, therefore, to end the violence in the streets", reiterated the bishop of Veracruz.
According to the information of the Investigation and National Security Center (Cisen), there are 17 groups in at least 14 states of the country that call themselves "anarchists". They are characterized by promoting violent actions in the streets, many in the capital, but also in Veracruz, Guerrero and Oaxaca. (CE) (Agenzia Fides 17/01/2015)
