Nan Chong (Agenzia Fides) – To remember the meaning of Jesus' birth and the adoration of the Magi because "they will help us to bring the message of Jesus to those around us": this was the priests' exhortation addressed to the faithful during the homilies of the Solemnity of the Epiphany, celebrated in communion with the universal Church. Epiphany in different communities was characterized by a strong missionary dimension, in the sign of evangelization and the collection of the missionary fruits.
As reported to Fides Agency by Faith of He Bei, parishes and ecclesial base communities celebrated with solemnity especially the procession of the Magi. In the parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Diocese of Nan Chong, the faithful offered the Lord their desire to live a life of faith. According to the pastor, "if we give our trust to the Lord, we will certainly find the right path that leads to Him." After Mass, the faithful went in procession in front of the crib to pay homage to the Child Jesus.
Also according to Faith, some priests encouraged the faithful to be courageous "sentinels of Christ" to pass on the Good News through catechism and Christian formation. The importance of Christian identity was emphasized during the homilies of the Epiphany, because through the manifestation of Christian identity one continues to make Christ known to others, inviting them to follow him and to imitate him.
