ASIA/CHINA - "Together let us defend and respect human life" donation of the philanthropic governmental organization to Jinde Charities of the Catholic Church

Shi Jia Zhuang (Agenzia Fides) - The first donation of 21 wheelchairs, offered by the Chinese Association of the Sick and by the Starlight Foundation of China Charities Aid Foundation for Children (government agency), was delivered yesterday, 25 settembnre to Jinde Charities, the Catholic charitable organization of mainland China. Other equipment (wheelchairs, powdered milk for infants) for a total value of around € 70,000, will be delivered in the month of March 2013. According to information sent to Fides Agency, don Ren Da Hai, deputy director of Jinde Charities, said: "Together we defend and respect human life, which is a value shared by Catholics and Chinese tradition. We are happy to provide all this charitable platform that we have built with faith and commitment over the years to help the needy." The Deputy Director also informed that the wheelchairs will be delivered to two orphanages run by nuns.
The two philanthropic organizations got to know the long charitable mission carried out by Jinde Charities of the Catholic Church, which began in 1997, according to the Christian spirit. Since then they have given hope to many people with disabilities, abandoned, sick and marginalized by society. "We are moved. We have confidence in their honesty and transparency, and also in the service network and collaboration inside and outside the country, " said representatives of the two organizations, which have also signed contracts for future collaboration with the Catholic Church to help premature infants and people with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), and for other projects.
