(Agenzia Fides )-The V National Congress, organized by the National Secretariat of theSocial Pastoral (NSSP / Caritas Colombiana) to be held in Bogota on 10 and 12 August will be focused on the issue of social justice through the redistribution of land.
According to a note sent to Fides the theme of the Congress, which will to be held at the Congress Centre "Compensar", is: "The farm worker; his dignity, his hope, his place. The full compensation and restitution of lands ".
Given the importance and of topical interest, the participation of delegates from almost all the 76 ecclesiastical jurisdictions of Colombia are expected to attend the Congress.
In addition to the national delegates, several foreign dignitaries will participate and will discuss the issue of land restitution and the challenges concerning social justice laid down by the situation of transition towards lasting peace in Colombia, primarily compensation for victims of violence.
