Lima (Agenzia Fides) - From July 17 to 22 representatives of 22 Caritas of Latin America and the Caribbean have gathered in the Peruvian capital to try to define a work plan for the region which has as a goal the fight against poverty. The meeting’s slogan is "A human family, Zero Poverty". According to the note sent to Fides by Caritas of Peru, which organized the meeting, this regional conference will be attended by the newly elected Secretary General of Caritas Internationalis, Michel Roy, and other representatives of Caritas Internationalis Network. From July 18 to 20, at the same time, there was a "Workshop on institutional strengthening and transparency", which dealt with topics related to spirituality and finances, social responsibility, transparency and responsibility.
