AMERICA/BRAZIL-Final preparations for the first meeting of Childhood and missionary Adolescence in the state of São Paulo

São Paulo (Fides Service) - Final preparations in sight of the 1st RMCMA (Regional Meeting of Childhood and Missionary Adolescence) which will take place on 16 and 17 July in the town of Embu (see Fides 03/25/2011) to which the regional team meeting of Childhood and Missionary Adolescence (CMA) in the state of Sao Paulo, held July 3 at Obra dos Cenáculos Missionários, in Lapa was dedicated. According to information received by Fides, about 150 children and missionary adolescents from all over the state of Sao Paulo are expected, since each diocese will have a delegation of seven members: five children and adolescents between 7 and 14 years of age, members of groups, a companion and the CMA diocesan coordinator. Nadia Maria da Silva Fusinato, CMA Coordinator in the State, has underlined the purpose of the meeting: "We want to emphasize the important role carried out by the young missionaries who, in their groups, support the Missionary Society through sacrifice, prayer and gestures of solidarity ".
The team has prepared different organizational activities to reflect on the theme of "Mission and Ecology", and on the motto "Childhood and Missionary Adolescence, and life on the planet". "With this theme- said Rodrigo Alves Piatezzi, of the Diocese of São Miguel Paulista - we want to highlight the issue presented by the Fraternity Campaign this year, but with a missionary perspective, as proposed by the Missionary Campaign, to be held in October. In addition to environmental issues, we will reflect on the various problems children face in the world".
During the meeting, workshops and some moments of entertainment and spirituality will take place, especially the Missionary Rosary of light, which will be held during the night of May 16, and the Mass of the Missionary Sending, on Sunday, July 17. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 07/06/2011)
