ASIA/TAIWAN-The Taiwan Regional Bishops' Conference invites to recite the prayer of Benedict XVI to Our Lady of She Shan

Taipei (Agenzia Fides) - In a statement signed by the General Secretary, Don Otfried Chanel, the Taiwan Regional Bishops' Conference invites the faithful to participate in the World Day of Prayer for the Church in China on May 24. These are the words of the statement: "To help every diocese to respond to the Pope`s appeal to pray for the Church in China, in the Mass of May 24 we propose the Prayer to Our Lady of She Shan of Pope Benedict XVI, and we invite you to encourage parishes and communities to recite this prayer after Communion, or to use a prayer service organized by the Commission of the Liturgy of the Episcopal Conference itself. " In the statement there was also attached the message read by the Pope at the end of the general audience on May 18 regarding this day.
