AMERICA/UNITED STATES-Even two religious missionaries will receive the "Servitor Pacis Award

New York (Agenzia Fides) - On 7 June the “Path to Peace” Foundation will bestow the 2011 annual Award to Frà Matthew Festing, Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Malta.
The announcement was made by Archbishop Francis Chullikatt, Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations, and President of the Path to Peace Foundation. He has been a member of the Sovereign Order of Malta since 1977 and took solemn religious vows in 1991. Between 1993 and 2008 he was the Grand Prior of England and In this role, he led missions of humanitarian aid to Kosovo, Serbia and Croatia after the recent disturbances in those countries. On 11 March 2008 he was elected Prince and Grand Master of the Order of Malta. In addition to the “Path to Peace Award”, the Foundation will give the “Servitor Pacis Award” to two sisters for their contribution to the common good. These honorees are: Sr. Eugenia Bonetti, M.C., a Consolata Missionary Sister and Director of the Counter-Trafficking Office of the Italian Union of Major Superiors, and Sr. Rachele Fassera, C.M.S., a Comboni Missionary Sister and dedicated missionary to Aboke, in Uganda; also Karen Clifton, Executive Director of the Catholic Mobilizing Network to End the Use of the Death Penalty will be awarded.
The Path to Peace Foundation was established in 1991 by Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino, during his tenure as Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations in New York, with the aim to complement and support the efforts of religious, cultural, humanitarian and charitable Permanent Mission to the UN.
