AMERICA/PERU '-University of Piura: the Human Rights Day 2011 dedicated to religious freedom

Piura (Agenzia Fides) - The University of Piura organizes the third edition of "Human Rights Day" to be held at the headquarters in Lima and Piura in June. This year it will address the issue of religious freedom. The day will be held in Lima on 10 and 11 June, while in Piura on 13 and 14 June. The sessions will be devoted to the study and discussion of the right to religious freedom. For this purpose it will offer a detailed analysis of the constitutional content and Regulation of the recent law on religious freedom no. 29635. An explanation will be given by the Constitutional Court of Peru with regards to the implementation of this law, and principles to explain the relationship between political and religious power. It should be noted that this third edition of the Human Rights Conference organized by the University of Piura is coordinated and managed by the Institute for Human Rights and Democracy. The conference will feature the participation of important speakers and specialists in law, and some priests: Fr Emilio Arizmedi Echecopar, Vice Chancellor of the University of Piura,Fr.
