Seoul (Agenzia Fides) - On the occasion of the Week for the Sanctification of the Family, which began with the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, Sunday, 26 December, Father Paul Hwang Cheol-soo, President of the Committee for Family Pastoral Care within the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea (CBCK), published a message that urges the faithful to reflect on the true meaning of conjugal love that God has given them to realize an authentic interpersonal communication. In the message entitled “Re-establish conjugal love as sacramental love”, Bishop Hwang expresses his concern about the current situation, in which many married couples, day by day, have become unfaithful to the mutual vows of total self-giving to the other. And he stresses: “spouses must always renew their irrevocable conjugal consent to commit their whole lives to unconditional love and constant fidelity, trusting in the love of Christ.” (SL) (Agenzia Fides 28/12/2010)
