ASIA/HONG KONG - “The Gifts of the Magi”: Christmas letter to the “family” in which Bishop John Tong shares four dreams with his faithful

Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) - “To continue evangelization efforts”, “to promote vocations”, “to take care of faithful foreigners”, and “to assume the role of bridge” are the four dreams of Bishop John Tong, Ordinary of the Diocese of Hong Kong, set out in his Christmas letter to the faithful, who he referred to as “my family”. According to reports from the Kong Ko Bao (the Chinese version of the diocesan bulletin), in the letter entitled “The Gifts of the Magi”, Bishop Tong retraced his tenure which began in April 2009 setting out the four dreams as a challenge to all the faithful and wishing for the realization of the dreams as a gift from the diocese dedicated to the Christ Child.
