AMERICA/CHILE - Formation days promoted by the PMS, to become “protagonists in the Mission”

Santiago (Agenzia Fides) – Among the various activities for the month dedicated to the missions (October), the Pontifical Mission Societies of Chile organized a day of training on the missions. The invitation, sent to Fides, says: "To all our brothers who feel called to be leaders in the Church's mission, to proclaim the Gospel to the whole world: We invite you to celebrate October, the missionary month, with a training day to be held October 9, 2010 in the retreat house of the Divine Word in the town of Florida, in Santiago."
The purpose of this day is to offer training and create missionary communion. The initiative is open to all those involved in the PMS and those who oversee formation in the Church.
Groups from the various dioceses throughout the country are expected to participate and it is hoped that participants can, in turn, lead this initiative in places where they work normally, so that it becomes a contribution to the missionary training of each community.
