Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) – World Youth Day helps young people in Hong Kong to strengthen their faith and hope, to be more satisfied with life, and enjoy good moral and mental health. This is the result of a recent survey done among 424 young Catholics in Hong Kong. According to reports from the Kong Ko Bao (the Chinese version of the diocesan bulletin), three quarters of these young people have participated in some way to World Youth Day, and confirmed that they gained a greater awareness of their Christian identity after participating in the event. According to the organizers, "growth in faith and hope show positive results in the lives of young people, especially in their moral and mental life. These people are rarely affected by depression and insomnia, symptoms prevalent among young people today." (NZ) (Agenzia Fides 22/09/2010)
