Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) – There is exactly one year left before the opening of World Youth Day 2011, scheduled to be held in Madrid (Spain) from August 16 to 21, with the theme will be "Rooted and Built Up in Jesus Christ, Firm in the Faith” (cf Col 2:7). The Diocese of Hong Kong has already launched the registration of their youth. The deadline for entries is September 30. According to reports from the Kong Ko Bao (the Chinese version of the diocesan bulletin), the Hong Kong delegation, led by the Commission of Youth Ministry, will be in Madrid, August 5-22, 2011. In addition to the main activities of World Youth Day August 16 to 21, the delegation will also have the opportunity to get to know youth from other countries. The diocese has also launched an appeal urging Hong Kong's young people to enter into communion with youth and the faithful throughout the world, and asks the faithful to be generous in helping young people in developing countries to attend this global event.
