Brasilia (Agenzia Fides) – The main Catholic Communication Network (TV Horizonte, Radio America, Radio Cultura, Journal of opinion and the site www.arquidiocesebh.org.br) from the the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte, is organizing an Encounter for Catholic TVs for March 16. According to organizers, the meeting will be an opportunity to define common strategies and also bring about integration. Attending the event will be the Archbishop of Rio de Janeiro, Archbishop Orani João Tempesta, President of the Bishops' Commission for Pastoral Care for Culture, Education, and Social Communication, with Sister Mary Elis Fogolari, Councilor of Social Communications in the CNBB (Brazilian Bishops' Conference) and Directors of several television producers: Aparecida, Canção Nova, Nazaré, Rede Vida, and Século 21.
The program of the meeting includes the sharing of projects, assessments on the findings of the First National Conference on Communications (Confecom) and the participation of TV Mutirão de Comunicação de Porto Alegre (Muticom), which was held last February 2 to 7. The meeting also aims at integrating programs, to create a database of images. There will also be a visit to the various institutions, to learn about the structures, the work philosophy, and the strategy of operation of the media network of communication of the Catholic Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte.
