Lima (Agenzia Fides) – The Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) of Peru celebrated the National Assembly of Diocesan Directors of the PMS, which was attended by 65 delegates, along with the President of the Commission for the Missions of the Bishops' Conference, Bishop Alberto Campos, OFM, Bishop of the Vicariate of San José de Amazonas and the National Director of the PMS of Peru, Fr. Gianfranco Jaquez,OFM Cap. The formation theme for this occasion was the encyclical of Benedict XVI "Caritas in Veritate." In addition to the Encyclical, the meeting also visited the various problems and achievements encountered in each sector
In the meeting, they also spoke of the founder of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, Pauline Jaricot. It was decided that she should become better known, with a year of activities dedicated to Jaricot Pauline (2011-2012), also recalling the 150th anniversary of her death.
