Wednesday, 25 November 2009

Paucartambo (Agenzia Fides) - With the participation of young people, children, and adults, a Mission Day was successfully held last weekend in Paucartambo, in the Archdiocese of Cuzco. The parishes of Challabamba, Pilcopata, Colquepata, Paucartambo and Huancarani all participated, led by their Pastors. The event, organized by the Missions Committee of the Archdiocese of Cuzco in Peru, in coordination with the Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary in Paucartambo, allowed participants to reflect on the meaning of the Continental Mission and receive an invitation to participate actively in the mission. The celebration helped to unify criteria and shorten distances, to help every parish have a common goal. The head of the Commission for the Missions, Sister Karin Aramburu, announced that the next Mission Day will be held in Acomayo and Ollantaytambo, and emphasized the fact that this process of the Continental Mission is meant to reach all the parishes of the Archdiocese.
