New Delhi (Agenzia Fides) - National Seminar on "Human Rights of Children and Youth" organized by the Salesian Inspectorate "Jesus the Good Shepherd" in India-New Dehli (INN) recetnly ended in the city of New Delhi. The first day of workshops, all the talks were designed to help people understand the value of children. The second day of study was focused on the protection of youth on the path of human rights. The last day of the seminar discussed the issues of life, rights, and hope, starting from the question: "And after this meeting, where do we go from here?." The answers that emerged at the end of their working groups identified the following possible solutions to social commitment, sustainable transformation, interaction with children, and knowing how to defend their rights. Children and young people should be the object of attention and protection, and this requires that all states and governments do more in defense of life and the rights of minors. One can not reduce the care of children to simple actions, without a deep relationship of closeness and support. (AP) ( Agenzia Fides 21/11/2009)
