Tai Yuan (Agenzia Fides) – Continue on the path of the Year of St. Paul, testifying to the Gospel with courage, keep the flame of evangelization burning: these are the main motives for the Congress on the Gospel held towards the end of the Year of St. Paul, on June 6, organized by the Cathedral of the Diocese of Tai Yuan. According to information sent to Agenzia Fides, over 1,000 faithful from various parishes participated in the Congress, along with seminarians from the Provincial Seminary of Shan Xi, and thirty priests and religious. The participants shared their experience on the path of evangelization during the Year of St. Paul. According to the Vicar of the Diocese and Parish Pastor of the Cathedral, Fr. Meng Ning You, “this gathering has helped us to reflect on the Pauline missionary spirit in our soul and mind and to maintain our awareness of the importance of evangelization for the Church.” Moreover, “evangelization should become a key word in our daily life. Above all, we should evangelize ourselves, so we can become light of the world and salt of the earth. Then, we can enlighten others.” Fr. Zhang Jun Hai, Parish Priest of the Church of Liu He, says: “our faith needs a 'recharge' so it can always increase. That way, we can become true Christians that know how to consecrate themselves, sacrifice themselves for love, like Saint Paul did.
