Heng Shui (Agenzia Fides) – The Parish of Fu Cheng, in the Diocese of Heng Shui, Province of He Bei (mainland China), held an evangelization event on the Solemnity of Christ the King, November 23. The theme was: “Here I am Lord, send me” in order to give the evangelization a boost in these final days of 2008. There were about 200 faithful present, including leaders of the Ecclesial Base Communities and the parish groups. According to Pastor Father Tian Jin Xiang, “we want to encourage a new wave of evangelization and sensibilization in these final days of 2008, because the mission cannot be abandoned – not even when we have more things to do or we have to prepare for the festivities...Each person should do their part, with concrete resolutions and with the task of building the Kingdom of God.” The encounter concluded with the assignation of the solemn missionary “sending” of all those present.
