ASIA/HONG KONG - The Auxiliary Bishop of Hong Kong and the Bishop of Macao will participate in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Beijing, upon the invitation of the central government

Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) – His Excellency John Tong Hon, Auxiliary Bishop of Hong Kong and His Excellency Jose Lai Hung Seng, Bishop of Macao, will participate in the opening ceremony for the Olympic Games in Beijing this August 8. According to information sent to the Agenzia Fides, the two Bishops have been invited by the central government’s “Liason Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R,” along with the other religious leaders of Hong Kong and Macao.
