Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) – The Biblical formation and pilgrimage in the footsteps of Saint Paul, in Asia Minor, are the initiatives being promoted by the Diocese of Hong Kong in anticipation for the upcoming celebration of the Pauline Year, which will begin this June 28. According to Kong Ko Bao, the Chinese version of the diocesan bulletin, the Diocese has formed a group in charge of the Pauline Year in order to help all people to live it with a missionary spirit and with faith, like Saint Paul. The Pastor of the Parish of Saint Paul, Father Joseph Hincha Kam Tong, said that the Biblical Institute has organized a Bible Course divided into several sessions. “The parish has also made a mosaic of St. Paul’s Conversion, in order to transmit the missionary mission to the faithful,” he said. “St. Paul’s spirituality and his idea of marriage are especially worth mentioning, especially this year which is also the Year of the Family in our Diocese. Reflecting on the theme of Christian marriage, St. Paul can offer us many important points in our formation.”
There will also be a “pilgrimage following the Pauline route. Reading his Letters helps us to live life today, with its risk of being swept away by secularism. His description of love is excellent and helps us to respond to the secularism of our times in an adequate manner.” (NZ) (Agenzia Fides 3/6/2008)
