Tai Yuan (Agenzia Fides) - Over 200 Catholics from the parish of Yang Jia Pu, in the diocese of Tai Yuan, took part in a retreat on the theme “ Renewing knowledge of the Christian life ” given by the parish priest Rev. Guo Quan Zhi, and the dean of the local priests ninety year old Fr Han Yao Zong. During the retreat some foreign Catholics shared their experience of Christian life. Fr Guo led the initial prayer to Our Lady to assist the time dedicated to spirituality. He explained the Gospel of Luke (4,18-19) underlining the duty of the Christian to become ever more similar Christ. Despite his venerable age Fr Han, is lucid and demanding: he spoke to the faithful about prayer and the Eucharist, saying that prayer is part of a truly Christian life.
