EUROPE/SPAIN - Diocese of Palencia organises course to improve hospital patient care

Palencia (Agenzia Fides) - To improve patient care in hospitals in the diocese of Palencia, the diocesan School of Health Care Pastoral has organised a series of conferences open to nurses, doctors, hospital visitors, volunteers, chaplains, men and women religious with hospital care charisma. The conferences will focus on the theme of suffering, loss of loved ones, and facing sufferings in life.
The first conference "Accompanying people who suffer with Christian faith and hope" will be presented by the diocesan delegate for healthcare pastoral in Madrid, Jesús Conde Herranz. The Palencia School of Health Care Pastoral was opened some years ago to help the Church meet the challenge to be a channel of experience sharing, formation and enrichment among people who live and work in the among people experiencing disease and suffering.
