ASIA/SRI LANKA - Fr Nicholaspillai Packiyaranjith killed on 26 September was a diocesan priest not a Jesuit

Mannar (Agenzia Fides) - Fides was informed by the local Church that Fr Nicholaspillai Packiyaranjith, killed on 26 September in an attack on the diocese of Mannar, (see Fides 27/9/2006), was not a Jesuit as previously reported, but a diocesan priest who acted as local coordinator for the Jesuit Refugee Service.
