AFRICA/SUDAN - 46 missing children in the desert after the latest attacks in South Darfur have been found

Kalma (Agenzia Fides) - After the attack of local paramilitary forces Rapid Support Forces in dozens of villages in the area south-east of Nyala, in South Darfur, approximately 46 children were found wandering in the desert. According to the local radio station Radio Dabanga, children between 3 and 13, were scattered in the area of Gad El Huboub, and were found by the inhabitants who were fleeing from the villages. The inhabitants rented a few donkey carts to carry the weakest children to Wadi Berle, near the Kalma refugee camp. Local sources reported that some arrived barefoot and half-naked.
