Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - In August Fides will publish a Compendium of daily prayers for the faithful in 34 languages. The Compendium has three sections.
The 1st section illustrates the importance and necessity of prayer, and 14 prayers for daily use. The prayers in 34 languages were sent to Fides as part of a World Prayer Campaign, and most of them have already been published.
The 2nd section of the Compendium Orationum includes the prayers listed in the Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church in the section on prayer.
The 3rd section, prepared to mark the feast day of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on 15th August, gives Marian used at the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal in Paris.
Fides Compendium on Prayer (423 pagine) will be presented as an e-book at Christmas 2007, on our web site www.fides.org. It may be downloaded or quoted in e-journals, newsletters, newspapers and on broadcast media, with acknowledgement of the author/source and the site. (J.M.)
