AFRICA/NIGERIA - Catholic priest kidnapped: Father Wilfred Ezemba

Abuja (Agenzia Fides) – Another Catholic priest has been kidnapped in Nigeria. According to information sent to Fides, Wilfred Ezemba, parish priest of St. Paul's Parish in Agaliga-Efabo, in the Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State, in north-central Nigeria, was kidnapped along with other travelers on the road between Imane and Ogugu by unknown armed men. The kidnapping occurred on Saturday, September 13. Security forces are currently combing the forests near the road to locate the kidnappers. The kidnapping of the Catholic priest and the other travelers is the second kidnapping in the same local administration area within a week. (L.M.) (Agenzia Fides, 16/9/2025)
