EUROPE/ITALY - CHARITY SOIREE IN AID OF BAMBINO GESU HOSPITAL AND MISSION ENFANCE

Wednesday, 24 September 2003

Rome (Fides Service) – On Friday 26 September at Palazzo Colonna in Rome there will be a charity Soiree in aid of Bambino Gesu hospital in Rome and Mission Enfance, a charity organisation in Monte Carlo presided by Prince Alberto of Monaco.
The event has been organised to strengthen ties between Italy and the Principality of Monaco and to support both Bambino Gesu hospital in Rome and Mission Enfance which, each in their own sector of competence, work to put a smile on the face of unfortunate children. The funds collected during the event will go to support two major projects: a Bambino Gesu campaign Building a Home which involves the restructuring of Home assigned by Rome City Council for children of poor families who are hospitalised at Bambino Gesu from all over Italy and also from the world’s poorest countries. The other project is a Mission Enfance campaign in favour of education in different parts of the world including: rebuilding a school in the outskirts of Beirut to guarantee poor children an education. Mission Enfance also sends tames of experts and volunteers locally to teach development skills to poor people and help children to look forward to a better future.
