Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Msgr. Graziano Borgonovo, until now official of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, as under-secretary for the Dicastery for Evangelization, Section for Fundamental Questions regarding Evangelization in the World. Msgr. Borgonovo was born on 12 February 1960 in Monza, Italy, and was ordained a priest on 7 September 1991 for the diocese of Lugano, Switzerland. He was awarded a degree in philosophy from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan and a doctorate in theology from the Université de Fribourg. He was professor at the University of Italian Switzerland and rector of the International John Paul II Philosophical Theological Seminary in Rome. He currently teaches in Rome at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, and the aforementioned Catholic University.
