Madrid (Agenzia Fides) - In collaboration with the NGO "Olvidados", the association "Acoger y Compartir" is working to bring several trucks to the Romanian-Ukrainian border with the material received from various municipalities and small NGOs that do not have the means to transport what they have collected, explains Redemptorist Jose Miguel de Haro, CSsR. Last week, several trucks left from Pamplona and Madrid. On the border with Romania there is a large warehouse where they unload the aid. There are Ukrainians who take it for the distribution to different destinations.
One of the distribution points is a Redemptorist community located in Ukraine, near the border. From Madrid, on Thursday, March 10, two trailers were loaded with food, medical supplies, medicine, hygiene products, blankets, emergency equipment, etc. The company SESE from Zaragoza provides transport at an affordable price. The material has already been collected for two other trucks this week, and they are deciding on the day of departure. We do not want to stick to words, but to share with those who need it most. We are happy to know that the Autonomous Communities are already planning to receive refugees. (SL) (Agenzia Fides, 14/3/2022
