Paris (Agenzia Fides) - Next May 22, the venerable servant of God, Pauline Jaricot (1799-1862) will be beatified: the Foundress of the Association of the Propagation of the Faith and of the Living Rosary Movement will be raised to the honor of the altars in Lyon in the bicentenary of the foundation of the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of the Faith (POPF) during a Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle.
The protagonist of the miracle attributed to the intercession of the venerable Jaricot is little Mayline Tran who was 3 and a half years old at the time (2012). She became unconscious due to suffocation caused by food. The little girl, hospitalised, was considered dead, but the family refused to stop artificial life assistance and began a novena to Pauline Jaricot.
