La Paz (Agenzia Fides) - The president of the educational area of the Bolivian Bishops' Conference, Mgr. Fernando Bascopé Múller, thanked for the work carried out by the teachers of his country who traditionally celebrate their feast on June 6.
A message highlights the courage and openness with which teachers have faced the conditions imposed by the pandemic. As parents all over the world discover that it is not easy to guide a child towards knowledge, to capture his/her attention; teachers suffer at a distance. They no longer have their students close to answer their questions or share a look, a hug or a smile that builds brotherly relationships. Now you see only on the screen, a new way of meeting and a challenge when it comes to teaching.
Added to this is the challenge of working with the tools offered by new technologies, which for many teachers are useful and for others represent a challenge. This is what Mgr. Fernando Bascopé talks about in his message, motivating teachers to continue planning pedagogical proposals. It is also a time of enormous opportunities and discoveries that will make us different men and women. Regardless of the difficulties, when it comes to a true vocation, like being a teacher, dedication is so important because it is a question of sowing the future with each student.
