AFRICA/CAMEROON - Bishop of Batouri appointed

Città del Vaticano (Agenzia Fides) – The Holy Father Pope Francis 25 April 2018 appointed as Bishop of Batouri (Cameroon), Rev. Marcellin-Marie Ndabnyemb of the clergy of Douala presently rector of Notre Dame des Nations College in Douala.
Rev. Marcellin-Marie Ndabnyemb was born 2 June 1965 in Logbikoy, in what is today the Diocese of Edea. After completing his studies in philosophy and theology at the Paul VI Inter-diocesan Major Seminary in Douala, he obtained a Licence in Spiritual Theology at the Teresianum Pontifical Theological Faculty in Rome and was ordained a priest on 13 April 1996 for the Archdiocese of Douala.
Since his ordination he has ministered as follows : 1996-2001: teacher at Saint Paul di Nylon Minor Seminary in Douala; 2001-2003: studies for a Licence in Spiritual Theology at the Teresianum Faculty in Rome; 2003-2014: Professor and Spiritual Father at the Paul VI Inter-diocesan Major Seminary in Douala; since 2014: Director of Notre Dame des Nations College in Douala.
